A hands-on leadership program for high school juniors in Ashtabula County.

General
Information

Attendance & Commitment

  • Youth LEADERship meets once per month from September through May

  • Sessions run from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and take place during the school day

  • Participants are expected to attend all scheduled program days

  • Space is limited, and participation is capped to ensure a meaningful experience for every student

Communication & Participation

  • Students are expected to actively participate in all sessions and group activities

  • Engagement, teamwork, and respectful conduct are core expectations of the program

  • Students represent their schools and the Youth LEADERship program throughout the year

Tuition & Financial Support

  • Tuition: $400 (nonrefundable)

  • Tuition includes all meals, program materials, and each day’s travel expenses

  • Thanks to corporate support, tuition is kept at a minimum for students

  • Need-based financial assistance is available upon written request from the student applicant

  • Attendance at all scheduled program days is expected

  • Program days take place during the school day

  • Participation demonstrates leadership experience that can be included on college and job applications

  • Youth LEADERship serves as the foundation for continued involvement in YL2
